Who Regulates BVGroup Brands in ROW?
BVGroup holds a remote operator licence from Government of Gibraltar regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner. Advertising and promotional activities undertaken by BVGroup, or you, on behalf of BVGroup, and regulated by:
- Gibraltar Remote Technical and Operating Standards (RTOS);
- The Generic Code;
- General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR);
- To ensure compliance with the above licence and regulatory obligations, all affiliate advertising of the “BVGroup” brand must be as set out in this document.
What are our Licence Objectives?
BVGroup must:
- Keep gambling crime free
- Protect children, young persons, and vulnerable persons
- Ensure gambling is conducted in a fair, responsible, and open way
What is the BVGroup Affiliate Team Doing to Ensure Compliance?
- Communicating regulatory and operational changes to affiliates.
- Appointing a dedicated Affiliate Security & Compliance Officer.
- Working closely with BVGroup Legal, Compliance and Risk Teams.
- Updating Affiliate Terms & Conditions to reflect Gibraltar requirements.
- Continually reviewing affiliate websites and social media promoting the BVGroup brand.
- Providing fully compliant creative assets through the Affiliate Programme.
What Affiliate Content Is Impacted by Advertising Rules?
Across Gibraltar, and any applicable advertising codes, the following mediums are regulated (including but not limited to):
- Websites
- Social media
- Static and dynamic banners
- In‑game ads
- Hyperlinks
- Promotional codes
- E‑promotions and email campaigns
- Paid Facebook or other social ads
- Tweets or X-posts
- Advertorial-style websites
- Blog posts
Advertising Requirements
Affiliates must not:
- Create a sense of urgency (e.g., “Bet Now” during live events or push-like messaging).
- Trivialise gambling or promote excessive or repetitive play.
- No targeting minors (e.g no imagery, themes, language, or characters that appeal primarily to minors.
- Misrepresent risk or control (e.g., avoid “Risk-Free Bonus” claims).
- Reference or portray problem gambling behaviour, such as chasing losses.
- Over-emphasise financial incentives or money-motivated reasons to gamble.
- Permit access to free‑to‑play games by children or individuals under 18.
- Operate any social media page without an 18+ age gate.
Required Terms for All Adverts
All adverts—whether created by BVGroup or an affiliate—must:
- Display full terms and conditions on the landing page.
- Include significant terms clearly on banners and promotional assets.
- Ensure full terms are no more than one click away.
- Include a clear and prominent link to full T&Cs in search ads and small banners.
- Include a short link to T&Cs in social media posts (or embed an image with T&Cs).
- State wagering requirements, deposit/withdrawal limits, validity dates, and key restrictions.
- Display required responsible gambling details, including:
- “18+”
- “T&Cs Apply”
- responsiblegambling.org / gamblingcare.ie
- Specify whether the promotion is for New Customers or Existing Customers.
- Detail any additional restrictions (e.g., “card payments only”).

- Correct BVGroup branding and logos

What Happens If BVGroup Receives a Complaint About an Affiliate Advert?
In accordance with Clause 6 of the Affiliate Terms & Conditions:
- BVGroup may disclose the affiliate’s contact details directly to the complainant.
- If BVGroup receives a regulatory fine, the affiliate will be required to reimburse BVGroup in full.
- Affiliates remain fully responsible for compliance with Clauses 6 and 7 related to promotions.
What happens if the Affiliate Fails to Comply with the Regulations and/or the Affiliate Terms and Conditions?
If an affiliate breaches regulatory requirements or the Affiliate Terms & Conditions, BVGroup may:
- Close the affiliate account
- Withhold future commission payments
- Seek reimbursement for any regulatory fine resulting from the affiliate’s actions
